TO EDUCATORS & EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS/FACILITIES Through Dr. Carter's research and work in this field, PTP, Inc. has created various character education kits for differing levels. With the help of our "Friends from Sunshine": Sunny, Javier, SallyAnne, Zawadi, Tuh biea and Nia, basic social and character lessons are presented to children in a fun, informative and non-confrontational method. Some of these lessons include: learning and identifying emotions; sharing; handling bullies and being a good friend. These basic lessons are the other ABC's of life, which some of us aren't ever able to learn formally. However, we all would have benefitted greatly if programs such as these were consistently threaded through with our math and science classes. We believe learning and practicing these healthier methods to deal with life's problems at a young age allows for less violence and abuse to permeate our schools, and to sadly only further progress within work environments. Although these lessons and stories so animatingly portrayed by these six beloved puppet characters are targeted for children, they nevertheless also help remind adults about healthier choices when faced with difficult decisions and obstacles. PTP, Inc. has created four different memberships for Educators and Educational facilities that include the kits and activities that were developed. PREMIUM PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP (combination of both program kits) PTP, Inc. plans to work together with educational facilities and children organizations to establish stronger character education programs in efforts to prevent violence and abuse in/out of schools and provide a safer environment for our children. |
